The Douglas Aviation Company, also known as McDonell Douglas and now it
is part of Boeing, is responsible for some of the greatest aviation
designs. The DC-3/C-47 is testament of their legacy. This airplane
changed the world by heralding the age of safe and economic air travel.
Designed in in the 1930s it still flies today in many parts of the
world. The newest version of this rugged aircraft is the remanufactured
Basler BT-67, a turboprop with modern avionics and some design
modifications.
