The brainchild of Professor Kurt Tank, the FW 190 has the reputation of being Nazi Germany's finest fighter plane. Its rugged design and formidable firepower made it into a feared adversary. In the hands of expert pilots this awesome machine brought down many allied airmen during World War II. Its versatility made it into a very effective multi-role aircraft. Armed with heavy Mk 108 cannons or 151 mm rockets, it could destroy tanks or heavy bomber aircraft. There were very many variants. El FW 190 fue diseñado por el Doctor Kurt Tank. Este avión de caza tiene la reputación de haber sido el mejor que tuvo la Fuerza Aerea de la Alemania Nazi. Su robusto diseño mas un poder de fuego formidable convirtio este aeroplano en un temible adversario. En manos de pilotos expertos esta soberbia maquina de guerra fue responsable por la baja de muchos aviadores de las fuerzas aliadas. The FW 190A was powered by a BMW 801 radial air cooled engine with an output in excess of 1,400hp. Other variants used in line  powerplants.

El FW 190A estaba potenciado por un motor BMW 801 radial, enfriado por aire y con una fuerza motriz en exceso de los 1,400cv. Otras variantes tenian plantas motrices de doce cilindros en "V" invertida.



This FW 190D-9 "Langnasen Dora" was one of the most advanced and lethal variants. The longer nose demanded a longer tail to maintain the center of gravity.

Este FW 190D-9 "Dora Nariz Larga" fue una de las variantes mas avanzadas y letales de este avión. La nariz al ser mas larga demando una sección de cola mas larga para compensar el centro de gravedad.

This FW 190A-3 is a 1/48th scale model made by Tamiya. It is a flawless kit with a perfect fit and very accurate. The level of detail is pretty good. It is a quick kit to build as it comes in the box.  It compares very well to other 1/48th scale kits and it is the only A-3 avaliable in this scale.

Este FW 190A-3 es un modelo a scala 1/48 de la casa Tamiya. Es un kit el cual no tiene ningun problema de encaje y su calidad es insuperable. El nivel de detalle es muy bueno y tal como viene en la caja es muy facil terminar este modelo rapidamente. Es muy comparable  o mejor que otros modelos en la misma escala, ademas la casa Tamiya ha sido la unica que ha editado esta variente tan importante.
